Description
Discover the hidden world of underwater fluorescence with the Sola NightSea. Blue LEDs cause proteins and minerals to fluoresce brightly; view through a yellow filter to see the psychedelic and brilliantly saturated colors and patterns. Engineered with leading scientists, the Sola NightSea delivers the perfect wavelength of blue light to excite otherworldly fluorescence. Features a phosphor flip-cap to easily switch between the blue NightSea and a white navigation light. Add a yellow filter to your mask or glasses for best results! Use while night-diving, exploring, or rock-hunting to find plants, animals, or minerals with fluorescent properties. Included phosphor cover changes blue light into white with a flip of the cap. Useful for navigation, orientation and general use (435 lumens of white light in flood and 290 lumens in spot mode.
The Light & Motion Sola NightSea 3000mW flood and 1700mW spot light output to FL-1 standard. Light is modular in design, allowing you to change the light head or body within seconds. The Light & Motion Sola NightSea Light is made with the highest level of Cree LEDs, and optimized firmware. Light head has a 60 flood and 12spot beam that provides a balance between distance and viewing angle.
The battery compartment is completely sealed, and a thick ring around the base of the light head protects the contacts. Its custom-engineered reflector optimizes the light to provide the most efficient and effective distribution for all your outdoor activities. It is waterproof up to 330′ (100m). The light has 3 light modes in flood light and 3 light modes spot light. The light provides 3000-mW of brightness in high-flood mode/1700-mW in spot mode, 1500-mW in med-flood mode 850-mW in spot and 750-mW in low-flood mode and 425-mW in spot. The light has a burn time of 70-minutes in high-mode, 140-minutes of burn time in med-mode and 280-minutes of burn time in low-mode. Light has a 2.5-hour charge time, weighs 9 oz. (254 g) and measures (L x W x D) 4″ x 2.1″ x 2.1″ (10.2cm x 5.3cm x 5.3cm). The light is built to last with a glass filled nylon body and tempered glass lens. Light comes equipped with a ballistic Cordura hand strap, NightSea mask filter, phosphor cover, 2-amp charger, zippered bag and owner’s manual.
