This auction is for a lot of 30 super nice vintage Big 14.5 mm round cloisonee beads. They are old world quality and super nice.
These are the OLD style cloisonne  which are like most older things better! They are good heavy duty beads with thick enamel decorations. The art form of making cloisonne is time consuming and you can’t get this quality today unless you pay a ton of money. The new cloisonne is more a painting on than true glass filled cloisons which these are! The decoration is formed by first adding compartments (cloisons in French[1]) to the metal object by soldering or adhering silver or gold wires or thin strips placed on their edges. These remain visible in the finished piece, separating the different compartments of the enamel or inlays, which are often of several colors. Cloisonné enamel objects are worked on with enamel powder made into a paste, which then needs to be fired in a kiln.   This is a cool video showing process  on you tube.
